Sushi Classes

             During your in-home class, you will learn to make hand-made sushi from scratch. 
     Dishes prepared include Nigiri Zushi, fish on a finger of rice and Maki Zushi, rolls
     wrapped in nori, seaweed paper.

    Students of Tom Wasabi will learn rice making and proper knife handling techniques. 
    Additionally, Sushi etiquette and Sushi history will be discussed as well as where to purchase
    and how to select sushi-grade ingredients.

    The class culminates in a sit-down meal allowing students and instructors
    the opportunity to sample and savor the classes’s labors.

    For those so inclined we also discuss Sake; it’s history, the brewing process,
    thoughts on pairing sushi with sake, and the best ways to enjoy this fascinating beverage.

     Pricing

    The cost for a class in the greater Chicago land area for up to eight students is $400,
    plus the cost of classroom materials.  Classroom materials can run $25 to $30 per student
    depending on the type of ingredient.  Classes that will have more than eight student will have a $50
    additional charge for each student over the eight. 

    We require a $100 non-refundable deposit, to book a date, which will be applied to the cost of the class.
